Work your way around the tub. After the sealant has been applied to each
seam smooth the bead with a caulk finishing tool or dip your fingertip in water
and run it along with the silicone bead. Again, do this smoothly, applying even pressure
so that the sealant is further into the seam. The water prevents the sealant from sticking
to your finger, allowing you to get a lovely, smooth finish.

we've got some silicone that needs to be removed around a bathroom sink because it's discolored and moldy. To do that, we need to prepare the following materials.
A sharp knife, scraper
Methylated spirits
A sponge
Clean silicone sealant steps
1. Scrape off the silicone sealant with a scraper to remove all silicone
2. Put on gloves, pour a little methylated spirits on the rag, wipe with the rag to remove the silicone residue.
Do these tasks in a well-ventilated environment.
Silicone adhesives can take as little as 24 hours to cure, but it may also take up to several days if the sealant is thick. You can use a blow dryer to really speed up the process. However, be sure to keep keep the blow dryer at a low or moderate temperature, Only use the blow dryer for between 5-10 minutes, and stay at least 1 ft (0.30 m) away from the adhesive when blow-drying it.
Make sure the tip is at the right angle, curl the end of the tube for a steady caulk, and slowly run the tip over the line at a steady pace. Wear a latex glove to prevent the silicone from sticking to your finger, dip your finger in water, then smooth the edges. In addition, you can use this convenient method is to run the bottom side of a plastic spoon along a bead of silicone or polyurethane. You can also carefully run the handle of an old toothbrush along the bead.
Cover the old silicone sealants with a paper towel, wear gloves, spray Glitz PREMIUM BLEACH on the paper towel, remove the paper towel after a few seconds, you can see that the dirty silicone sealants have been cleaned up.
